The Country Music Singer Found Dead in Her Home

The country singer was found dead in her Heber Springs, Ark., home on Feb. 17, 2013. The Cleburne County sheriff said in a statement that preliminary autopsy results from Arkansas' state crime lab show McCready's death was a suicide from a single gunshot wound to the head.

MINDY McCready has been found dead after an apparent suicide. She was 37.

The troubled country music star shot herself and her dog. Neighbors reported hearing the two gunshots.

Mindy  had been a mess since the father of her youngest child, record producer David Wilson, was found dead in his home on January 13 of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound.

 “At 3:31 PM, Sunday, February 17th Deputies from the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to a report of gun shots fired in the area of 1132 Fox Chase Drive in Heber Springs,” said the Cleburne County Sheriff’s Office.  Read full story.

According to America’s Globe magazine, the country music star didn’t commit suicide — she was killed by drug dealers.

In its latest issue, the mag claims Mindy and her boyfriend — who was also found shot to death in the same home just weeks before — were hunted down. Read full story.

Not knowing for sure if it was murder or suicide, family and friends feared she could have taken the lives of her two little ones.

 Meanwhile, Mindy’s former friends be­lieves the tragic star would have killed her sons Zan­der, 6, and 10-month-old Zayne if they’d been with her.

 The tragic star — who shot herself and her late lover David Wilson’s dog on the front porch of her Arkansas home on Feb. 17. — was set to lose custody of her boys.

 “Just look at what she did and how she did it,” Zander’s father Billy McKnight, lead singer of the popular country rock group Soul Circus Cowboys, told American tabloid the National Enquirer. “She killed the dog before she killed herself, and I fear she would have taken those kids with her too, if they’d been there.”
